The 11th edition of the Fotografia Kolekcjonerska project will showcase items unique to the artists' work and those which have played a major role in the history of Polish photography. The oldest pictures date back to the early 20th century and are rare items on the market. For example, Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz - Witkacy's portraits, which are among this year's highlights, are much appreciated both by Polish and international collectors. One of Witkacy's self-portraits has been among the most expensive photographs auctioned in Poland to date. It went for a record price of PLN 135 thousand!

Witkacy, Hartwig, Lewczyński, Rolke, Rydet, Poremba, Żak, Milach – these are just some of the leading Polish artists creating photography to be shown at a unique exhibition in Castle’s Cellars. The 11th edition of the Fotografia Kolekcjonerska project will showcase items unique to the artists' work and those which have played a major role in the history of Polish photography. On 27 October 2013, the exhibition will end with an auction of all featured items.
